Geocache Description:

This cache is on a mountaintop above 10,000 feet,so take the appropriate precautions. Since there are several approaches to this cache, the difficulty level may vary.

My Dad thought that this cache would be a great compliment to Gem Lake. I thought it would have been more fun sitting at home watching the 'The Simpsons'. Dad has the last say, so we trudged up the mountain and hid the cache just before the thunder and lightning and rain bore down on us. We discovered a metal box bolted to the summit that was placed there by the Forest Service. An American Flag was flying from it. The blowing sleet and rain and thunder and lightning dissuaded us from staying any longer, but we managed to place the cache. Hopefully the coordinates are reasonable enough to find it in the big pile of rocks that is the summit. The cache is a green Nalgene bottle hidden under a triangular rock that is beneath a large overhanging boulder. There are several approaches to this peak, so do some research to find the route that is best for you. Be aware of the weather and/or fire danger before attempting this cache.
