An ammo box hidden just off a well marked pathway. A short and easy walk along the River Inver from the main road as it enters Lochinver village.
We spent a very happy honeymoon in this part of the Highlands, staying in the little village of Badidarrach where on a clear day the views over the loch to Suilven are absolutely spectacular. Lochinver was a very friendly and welcoming community. We would especially recommend the pies on sale at the Lochinver Larder and riverside Bistro, if you fancy some light refreshment after the walk.
The cache is just off a well marked path along the River Inver. As you come into Lochinver on the main road from the east, you will see space for parking and a picnic, just opposite the stone bridge. The path starts here and gently winds its way through the valley woodland.
The cache is an ammo box filled with a few goodies we picked up in Lochinver itself. If you are still in the caching mood we would recommend driving through Lochinver and up the entertaining road to Inverkirkaig, to try the Kirkaig falls. Watch out for Bortain's most picturesque school on the left as you go!
