11:15 - 5:00pm Geocaching Demo's, hiking, help and discussion for those who get back early or just want to hang around.
The plan is to go down to hide the caches early May with the park staff. The theme this year is Dark Sky Preserve so we will try to keep the distance down to a comfortable pace while still taking you to great places in the park with some nice hikes and views.
Fundy was recently designated as a Dark Sky Preserve by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC). What does it mean to be a Dark Sky Preserve? It means that the Fundy National Park Dark Sky Preserve is one of the best places to explore the night sky in Canada. One can think of a dark sky preserve as an astronomy park where the night sky glows with millions of stars visible to the naked eye.
Like last year, we will work with the reviewers to get the caches out later in the day Friday to let some people get an early start and to give everyone the chance to download them if possible. There is WiFi in certain areas of the Park.
For those interested in the collectable coin, it will be 1.5 inch wooden coin and it will be trackable.
