Geocache Description:

Invisible Pond - Bothell / Kenmore area. For beginners.

It's a blue Tupperware-type container (more durable than the "Ziploc" containers). It contains a discovery sheet (for non-geocachers), a pen, a log sheet, and a "Where's George?" dollar bill.

You can drive right up to this cache. It's meant to be a quick discovery for persons getting started that want to increase their initial cache counts quickly.

It's a little, seemingly-abandoned stormwater area. If you live in the area, you probably never knew this existed (isn't geocaching fun).

Go stand in the opening of the area (trees and fence form almost 4 complete sides to it, but there's a 12' opening) to take your bearings.

Taking icemonkey and run4cache's suggestion to bump up the difficulty. Also, someone in the neighborhood (little kids?) seem to be plundering the cache...I will keep an eye on it!

Update, 1/19/2002:
The plundering seems to have stopped! Items from the 17th on are now still in the cache. Might have just been some geocachers that didn't log their visit.

Update, 1/20/2002:
I had an interesting conversation with the nutty neighbor lady next door. She was under some kind of impression that she owned the King County land! (?) After I pointed out the King County sign and asked her why she thought she owned some or all of the land, and what her name was, she said "I don't have to tell you" and took off in her car! How strange!

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

If you can't find it, it's probably a DRAIN on you. Look for the Gang of Seven. It's five feet high.
