Geocache Description:

This cache is located in an area of Standing Stone State Park known as the "Old Swimming Hole." Terrain is relatively flat, and an obvious trail will lead you to the cache area. Poison ivy was spotted during the placement, so long pants and shoes would be wise.

Cache Info:
Cache is a large nalgene bottle that is camoed. Log book is in a match container inside the nalgene bottle. Please use care when replacing this cache so it's condition is not compromised. You will understand when you find the cache.

Area Info:
This is a personal favorite spot to visit. The area has a small man-made dam which creates the swimming area, which is fed by a creek. The cache is located between this dam, and another dam made by beavers just upstream. There is lots of stone work and stone foundations in the area, along with remnants of a diving board and life guard seat. It's fun to imagine how active this area must have been 50-60 years ago.
