The pit dwelling to which it mainly belonged in the middle on the Jomon period was 39, and as many as 143 human bones were discovered.
It is specified as the historic relics of a country and maintained as a park now.

明治26年の八木奘三郎(やぎ‐そうざぶろう)氏による発掘が、最初の記録として残されています。
縄文時代中期に主に属する竪穴式住居が39件、人骨は143体も発見されました。
国の史跡に指定され、現在は公園として整備されています。
