Hyochang Park is located in Hyochang-dong and Cheongpa-dong with a total size of 122,100m2. It was originally the precincts of Hyochangwon where there were royal tombs of the crown prince Moonhyo, Euibin Seong, a royal concubine of the 22nd King Jeongjo, Sukeui Park, a royal concubine of King Sunjo, and princess Yeongon in Joseon Dynasty. It was made of park after the tomb of the crown prince was forced to move to Seosam tombs during the period of Japanese's reign.
