Add some spice to your winter, come join us at the
Winter Fiesta event.
Date: Sunday, January 9th
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Place: El Sombrero Restaurant
79 NE 69 HWY in Claycomo, MO
The coordinates listed above are for the restaurant.
The Barrera family has owned and operated El Sombrero since 1964. This is the finest
mexican food out there. The restaurant is closed on Sunday but my friend Larry has agreed
to open just for us. Because it is a private party, I will need a head count so please
sign up early for this event. Please post as a "write note" if you plan to attend and tell
how many will be in your party. Include both your geocache and real name for name tag purposes.
We will have an all you can eat taco and burrito bar. You can also make your own taco
salad or nachos from all the fixins'. The charge for our private food party is only $7.00
per adult OR child with tea and coffee included. Also, a one dollar
tip charge per person. Please pay at the door when you come in, cash or debit or
Mastercard or Visa only. No checks please! Please Note: We will have the restaurant from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The food bar will only be open for one hour, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
There will be door prizes and caches to find. The coordinates for the caches will be
given to everyone after lunch. CCDAWG has donated an ammo box with his famous camouflage
paint job to be used as our event cache which will be permanent. We will also have 3 more
multi caches that will be just for the day. Anyone who would like to donate things to fill
the caches with, please email me.
Here is a partial list of the people who have donated door prizes. Please keep
checking back as this list will grow.

A very special surprise donation from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.
Also, if you have any used prescription eyeglasses that you don't need anymore, there will be a drop off box at the event. They will go to the Lions Club who make sure they go to people who need them.
