Yagenbori fudo temple

The immovable [teratoukyou] chief temple Kawasaki-Daishi Hirama branch temple medicine laboratory moat academy is known as well as Meguro and Mejiro from of old as three major immovable Edo, and introduced to a lot of documents including "Edo showplace chart association".
A principal image and immovable [meiou] [toutozou] are the one that [uyamakiza] is done by one sword three bows as a reward that 43-year-old bad year is safely clarified, and [**] and [kyou**] saint Satoru [**] saint of the buddhism restoration were enshrined to [**] state and [nekitera] for the counterplan and three [tamo**] years (1137) of the [takashitoku] emperor.
Afterwards, the large [shirushisou] capital of [nekitera] protected [toutozou], it put in the bamboo trunk, it was shouldered, and it went down to the eastern country when it encountered [heihi] of the Hideyoshi Toyotomi power during positive 13-heaven year (1585). The sacred place of having green was decided near Sumidagawa, and [dou**] was built before long.
This is a start of the immovable medicine laboratory moat academy. It becomes the branch temple of buddhism [satoruyama] sect chief temple Kawasaki-Daishi [hiramatera] in 1892(1892), and it extends to the present though it drinks and there was [hensen] many.

*Saying of "Medicine laboratory moat"
Yonezo "Arrow [no] warehouse" of the Tokugawa Shogunate with a big moat in 1645 was able to be done. It is burnt down due to a fire in 1698, and the warehouse thereafter moves to the reclaimed land. Afterwards, because a part of the moat remains and the bottom looked like the shape of "Medicine laboratory" shallowly in V-shaped, it is said that it became a name "Medicine laboratory moat".

薬研堀不動院

大本山川崎大師平間寺東京別院薬研堀不動院は、古くから目黒、目白と並んで江戸三大不動として知られ、「江戸名所図会」をはじめ多くの文献に紹介されています。
 ご本尊・不動明王尊像は、崇徳天皇の代、保延3年(1137年)真言宗中興の祖・興教大師覚鑁上人が43才の厄年を無事にすまされた御礼として、一刀三礼敬刻され、紀州・根来寺に安置されたものです。
その後、天正13年(1585年)豊臣秀吉勢の兵火に遭った際、根来寺の大印僧都が尊像を守護して葛籠に収め、それを背負って東国へ下りました。やがて隅田川のほとりに有緑の霊地を定め、堂宇を建立しました。
これが薬研堀不動院のはじまりです。幾多の変遷がありましたが、明治25年(1892年)真言宗智山派大本山
川崎大師平間寺の別院となり、今日に至っています。

*「薬研堀」の言われ
正保2年に大きな堀を持つ徳川幕府の米蔵「矢ノ倉」が出来ました。元禄11年に火災で焼失してしまい、以後蔵は築地へ移転します。その後、堀の一部が残り底がV字形で浅く「薬研」の形に似ていたので「薬研堀」という名前になったと言われています。
