The park is filled with beautiful trees and cherry blossoms (when
it is in season) and a large variety of wild and emancipated
felines. This park was donated to Tokyo goverment by the late-widow
of a famous Japanese writer named Roka Tokutomi.

We heard an interesting story from a local for all you GPS fans
out there. Apparently it was in this city that the idea for a GPS
car navigation device was first conceived. An engineer from Pioneer
Electronics got off the Freeway here accidently and became so
hopelessly lost that it took over 2 hours to get to back out of
this area, the streets were so confusing and interwoven. He thought
if he only had a device that could tell him where to go , things
would be much better and he might not get lost so much! He ended up
inventing the first car navigation GPS, and the rest is history...
We can all thank that brilliant engineer and his family for the
modern convenience that many of us enjoy today. Thanks dude!!!
Small note on cache maintenance: I realise I am
far away from home but I have enlisted a local friend to take care
of it. He wants to be a geocacher as soon as he gets a GPS. He will
check it occasionally and make sure it is ok...
