John Ball, originally from New
Hampshire, was a frontier pioneer during the early 19th century.
He, along with many others in the Wyeth Expedition, were
responsible for much of the mapping and geology of present-day
Oregon and Washington state. As a Dartmouth College graduate of
Education, John Ball became the region's first
school-teacher.
He later settled in Grand Rapids,
Michigan where he became a prominent memeber of the community. He
always displayed an interest in education, geology, local
enterprises and discovering new things. He donated a plot of land
to the people of Grand Rapids that is now present-day John Ball
Park and Zoo located on Grand Rapids west side.
Like the pioneer John Ball, you
may also make new discoveries of your own in this park!
This is a three stage multi that
will take you though some undeveloped parts of John Ball park.
Although the area is "off-the-beaten-path", please use stealth when
appropriate because the park is often flooded with
muggles!
The final stage is a regular size
lock-n-lock container
