Geocache Description:

A short(ish) walk at a really scenic spot. Houghton House was built by Lady Pembroke around 1615-21, on crown land. It is thought to be the original House Beautiful in Bunyan's "The Pilgrims Progress"

11/12/06 UPDATE...............
THE INFO BOARD HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY. UNTIL IT IS REPLACED THE ANSWERS FOR ABCD ARE IN THE ADDITIIONAL HINTS

The above co-ords are for parking, please do not try to drive any further up as it is a private road for residents only.
O.K. Start your search at Houghton House(you can't miss it!)
You will need to know When the house came into the guardianship of the ministry of works-that answer will be ABCD. Also you will need to go to the rear of the house and count the arches on the exterior wall, that will give you E.
Now that you have these numbers you should be able to find the cache. The co-ords are N52* 02.(B-E)(D+C)2 W000* (C-A)8 D79. A bit of advice, as you leave the house and reach the gate turn right and follow the footpath to the left or you may end up in someones house!
When you get to the cache site your Gps may have a bit of trouble in the trees, check out the spoilers if this is the case.
