Geocache Description:

On the Road to Geowoodstock VIII - Meet here, at The Blue Rooster Bakery, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m Thursday ~to~ 1:00pm Friday, 2nd July. ., to share your trip with other cachers.

True, the 4-lane I-90 might get you to GW8 a little bit quicker if quick is required. But if you want to Geocache along the way, plus get to view some great scenery and not have to fight traffic, you can't beat U.S. Hwy 2. And you'll get to attend a special Geocaching event!

Highway 2 runs east and west, between Spokane, Waterville, Wenatchee and Everett. There are quite a few caches along the highway.

Download 256 geocaches to be found along this route!
(NOTE: This is a zip file containing a GPX file as well as a KML file of the caches to be viewed in GOOGLE Earth. All caches are located within ½ mile of Highway 2.)

At the Event Cache there is lots of room for temporary RV parking (no hook-ups), restrooms, water, telephone (during the day) and free Wi-Fi in the Bakery. Also, the town's public swimming pool will be open. The Event site fronts Waterville's beautiful Pioneer Park. Dogs are allowed (on leash) in the Park, provided that the owner picks up after the dog.

This event is sponsored by the Washington State Geocaching Association. If you are a Geocacher in the state of Washington, please join the Washington State Geocaching Association. This is a great way to get the most out of Geocaching in Washington. See the WSGA Web Page for details!
