Geocache Description:

A simple and easy two stage Multi at a busy intersection frequented by some of the most handy fix-it persons around. High Muggle factor WILL make stealth necessary   to retrieve/replace cache.

CAUTION: This area will flood so keep that in mind if leaving any trade or trackables. Please make sure stage two lid is on tight & EVERYTHING is sealed.

This is a two part cache. Coordinates posted are for the first of two stages. The first container does not have the log, you will find that at the second stage. First location large enough only for the vehicle holding the coordinates to the second, although you may have to think a bit to uncover them both.

STAGE ONE: Don't set your sights too high for this one.
STAGE TWO: No real bushwhacking required although the area is a bit overgrown which means you may need to search a bit.

Parking available nearby although at times finding a spot might be a problem. However, with a little patience one always opens up.

Coords should put you on the northeast side of a fence in or near a parking lot. NO NEED to go onto the bordering s/w private residence property and you DO NOT need to touch the green telephone box while searching for this cache.

CAUTION: This area could and at times does flood during adverse weather, so please keep that in mind if leaving any tradables or trackables. Log is in a plastic bag for that reason so please make sure to reseal it and please post a note if bag is damaged.

Both points on busy through fares within a short walking distance of each other in the same parking lot. Cache at final stage is a large small or SMALL REGULAR so should not be too difficult to find but with Muggles everywhere cautious and surreptitious behavior will help avoid drawing attention to you. Should any little Muggle eyes observe you . . . the cache will be stolen! Once the cache has been found feel free to take a stroll through town. It's a great place for a walking tour with lots to see and a few famous people have been seen around town.

The Town of Manteo wraps around Shallowbag Bay on the eastern side of Roanoke Island, part of North Carolina's Outer Banks. The seat of government for Dare County since 1870, this waterfront community incorporated in 1899. Nearby attractions include a representative 16th century ship at Roanoke Island Festival Park, Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. A couple of miles north are The Elizabethan Gardens and Waterside Theatre, home to the nation's oldest outdoor symphonic drama, The Lost Colony.

Permission granted for this cache's final parking-lot placement about half way between a window & Lighthouse. While some staff do know about it most do not know where it is.

FTF honors to episcodad (adjusted difficulty rating based on an early find entry).
