Posen: The new Boardwalk has altered the cache location, which was the tube that held up the cable railing....it was still there, although chances are it would not survive the installation of the new railing...besides, this place needs a new cache so more people have to come enjoy the new boardwalk. sorry for the DNFs...I have removed the cache container. Thanks for those who visited this nice area.

Geocache Description:

Move your token to Boardwalk!

The boardwalk that takes you through the marshland at the Harriet Alexander Center is the most compelling reason to visit Roseville. The bird watching is astounding, and the butterflies and aquatic life abound. The main boardwalk is deemed handicapped accessible. There are slats with 1/4" to 1/2" gaps, so it may be bumpy, but it looks doable. There is a small section of gravel path to negotiate, which may bog down in wet weather, but it's Class 5 Surfacing material, so it should be okay. The cache is small, and the walk is almost 1/2 mile, but the scenery doesn't get much better in the Twin Cities.

For the more adventurous, try the older section of floating boardwalk. Some sections are like a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
