Geocache Description:

Burscough to Tarleton Canal is a branch of the Leeds Liverpool canal and was to be closed by the British Waterways. However, British opinion was so great they made the Ribble Link, thus linking Lancaster and Leeds / Liverpool canals at Preston.

Irene used to live round here and played here as a small child, so brings back some memories for her of skating on this canal, with her two sisters.
