Geocache Description:

Trout Trails & Tail #7 - Fish Bowl by the Pocono Mountain East High School art class at Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroud Township. Caught and released for $2000.

This is a cache and dash series highlighting the Brodhead Watershed “Trout Trails & Tales”. There are fifteen fantasy trout, crafted by local artists, on display throughout the Brodhead Watershed, each with a story about the trout and the Brodhead Watershed. Find each of the trout and discover its tale! Cache is not located at the display but usually in the parking lot or close to where they are displayed. This will be a three month cache with the trout on display from June 6 to August 24, 2008. You can find a pamphlet at www.trouttrails.org

FTF Prize for completing the series: A gift certificate from Dunkelberger’s valued at the price of a PA resident fishing license with a trout stamp. How to get the FTF Prize- You must find the 15 caches and fantasy trout and submit a photo of the trout on display. The photo can be included in your log or emailed to me. There are 13 Trout Trails & Tales caches and 2 other caches in which the CO’s have allowed me to use their cache as part of the series as they were already placed near were the sculptures are placed. For Trout Trails & Tales #6 - Lend a Hand by Samantha Souilliard at the site of the Old Mill in Sciota. use GCMMRQ (The Old Mill) and for Trout Trails & Tales #10 - Mademoiselle Trout Recyclé by Pocono Mountain West High School art class at Courthouse Square in Stroudsburg use GCT5AZ (Have a Blast). Good luck and have fun!

Trout is currently located inside the library. Hours are:
Sunday 1 -5
Monday - Thursday 9 - 9
Friday 9 - 6
Saturday 9 - 5

Congratulations to stellarscapes for the Trout Trails & Tales Cache and Dash Series FTF!!!

Trout Tale:
Melting snow and rain that cannot seep into the ground becomes stormwater runoff, which can cause flooding. In the Pocono Creek watershed, if we cover the land with impervious surfaces to the maximum amount allowed by current zoning without controlling stormwater, runoff will increase by 30%.
