Geocache Description:

This is a ten cache series all in one park. Each cache contains a bit of a story so do them in order so you can follow along. Since the book is for the Preschool age group, you could even make this an educational adventure. Each cache also contains related stamps so bring along an ink pad or some Crayola markers and something to stamp on if you’re interested. I like to use index cards for stamping on, they allow for messiness and mistakes more than a traditional logbook.

“One morning, one morning, one morning in May” the Babybeast and I were out to enjoy a pleasant afternoon in downtown Burlington. The big boat had just docked at the Promenade and we figured we would check it out and then get some ice cream, hit the Library and maybe some caching for Mom along the way. While at the library (unfortunately not one of the ‘beast’s favorite places) I had to make my selections quickly and this children’s book caught my eye. Written by Jane Yolen and it had the most beautiful illustrations, I added it to the pile without looking any further. As I was reading it with the babe that evening I had to laugh, it described our caching adventures perfectly! Serendipity!

Park in Parking Lot A and head into the woods towards the creek, the caches will lead you all through the park, ending back at your car. I’m going to try to add to the stamps as time and carving ability allows. Also, any animal related swag would be cool to trade as that is the theme of the book.
