I wanted to send a Christmas card to my caching pals, but don't
have all the addresses. Solution - a cache with Christmas cards in
it! So bring a card with you to swap - even if it's in July!!
And as part of the seasonal fun, why not include the
co-ordinates of somewhere that has gone a bit over the top with the
Christmas lights! There are one or 2 within a couple of miles of
the cache site (try N55.55.232 W003.02.059), but I'd also recommend
the Edinburgh City Chambers 'Advent Calendar' - see the photo
(N55.56.993 W003.11.411). I've even used it on some of the
Christmas cards!
A word of warnning - the cache is near a very busy road, but
should not be accessed from there. Use the much quieter road that
runs parallel and you will be safe and sound.
If you can't make it in near future, don't despair as the cache
will be a permanent feature (unless it gets muggled!). Christmas
