Geocache Description:

Pumpėnai was founded as Carmelites were moved here in XVII century. During the Soviet times Pumpėnai was the center of Kolkhoz. Nowadays it has ~1000 inhabitants.

The mill of Pumpėnai was started to build in 1925 and was finished in 1927. The money for the expenses of the construction was sent by Kulalis who worked in US as a miner. The mill is 12 meters high. It was not only a wind mill: after the Soviet privatisation it was powered by a heat and after the invension of electricity it was an electrical mill. In the years of independence there used to be a restaurant but currently the mill is abandoned.

The cache is a small box containing a logbook, a pen and few goods for a swap.

A quick reminder:

Geocaching is fun, do not ruin it by misplacing the container, so after signing the logbook PUT THE CONTAINER IN THE EXACT PLACE AS YOU FOUND IT.
Do not push the container too far.
If you take anything from the container leave something behind.
The logbook and pen should ALWAYS stay in the container.
