Geocache Description:

This is a night cache.
A fun tromp in the dark. Bring your flashlight and find the cache. An easy seven tenths of a mile hike in the dunes. There is no bushwhacking involved. Although you will be required to duck under a few low branches and step over a few roots and fallen trees. So if you think you have spotted a fire tack and you have to go through the bushes then what you have spotted is predatory animal eyeballs. I'd recommend not chasing them.
You will be looking for fire tacks. Park at the listed coordinates. Walk down to the starting coordinates. The green 2 mile marker. To get you started look 90° from the guardrail for the first tack. Hold your flashlight by your temple and look around. The light reflects straight back so they appear brighter if the flash light is at eye level. When you spot the glowing reflector go there, remember to find the trail, and standing within a 3-5 feet of the location look for your next tack. Some will be 20 feet away others will be 300 feet away or any distance in between. They may be high up or low down.
The wife and kids did it with mini mag lights with a fresh set of batteries in them. So the bigger the light the easier it gets. My 5 million candle power lights them up unbelievably bright.
When you get to a tree with a line of four tacks stop there and get the cache at the base of that tree.
Return back to the last tack and follow the obvious way back to your vehicle.
My wife and kids moved right along and were back to the truck in little over half an hour. I'd like to have moved a little slower. So plan on 45 minutes to an hour to make a leisurely no sweat involved stroll to the cache and back.
