What: A short class on compass use, GPS use, and the
mechanics of geocaching, followed by a practice session where 6
temporary caches will be available for your searching pleasure. We
will match up experienced geocachers with new people to provide
hands on assistance. Bring your own GPS or borrow one from the
center.
Where: Ice Age Center, Kettle Moraine State Forest,
Northern Unit, Dundee, WI (or see Coordinates above.)
When: July 28, 2007 6:45PM to 8:30PM
Who: Everyone! New people get a chance to "learn the
ropes" from those with more experience. Experienced people get to
meet some new geocachers and give a little back to the game. If you
are in between, well, you can do a little of both.
Why: Why not?
Note: I will be placing LOC and GPX files on this listing after
I confirm the hide locations this weekend. Please post a note here
or at the WGA website if you plan to attend.
Here is a link to a directory containing gpx and loc file of the
temporary caches at the Ice Age Center. Click on the following link
and save one of the file to your computer for use with GSAK or
other transfer programs. Coordinate Files See you
there!
