The cache is in a city park in the Canemah District of Oregon City.
Absolutely no bushwacking is required - please be careful of the ferns and other vegetation.
Park hours are 5am to 10pm.
.
As of our last visit (02/12/2022) the parking lot for this park is blocked by a chain so you'll have to find a nearby legal parking spot and walk in.
The park itself is a hidden gem, with a nice view of Willamette Falls. It's the oldest park in Clackamas County. It used to extend to the river. Much of the park was taken way to make room for a highway.
It is a bit difficult to find the entrances to the park, but again, this cache is meant to be a little more challenging than others. Tree cover and the hillside will mess with your GPSr. Get a good signal lock when you can.
The cache coordinates are: RT VZ.PZ7 NORTH 7VV K0.Z9V WEST
To decode these coordinates, use a Champoeg 2006 geocoin. Find the posted characters in the image of the Tent and find the actual coordinates in the image of the Yurt.
Don't have a Champoeg 2006 Geocoin? Here are some suggested options for you:
o Visit the "Canemah Steamboats and Ship Captains" cache GC4MQDK or the "Stevens-Crawford House - CCHS Heritage Tour" cache GC3M514, the coordinates are inside. Think of the Canemah Cache as a bonus to these caches.
o Try to figure out the hiding place by puzzling out the coordinates yourself or search based on the hint.
o Beg, borrow or steal the coordinates from someone who already has them decoded.
