Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Duncan Park on the west end of downtown Austin. The park isn't terribly large, but is a relaxing spot to spend an afternoon. There are lots of old live oak trees, and considerable shade for sunny days. An interesting feature of this park is that the southern half of the park has been turned into a BMX biking park. Wander over there and you'll find oddly shaped ramps, mounds, and jumps made from packed soil. The cache is located at a great shady spot for sitting down and reading a book on a summer afternoon. This is provided by a very old, large live oak with branches that spread wide and hang low to the ground. It reminds me of Forrest and Jenny's tree in 'Forrest Gump'. You are looking for a Decon container. I have stocked it with bouncy balls, glow-in-the-dark rubber frogs, and small rubber snakes. Park hours are 5am-10pm. Parking is available on the street nearby. *** The cache has been moved so that it's not buried in PI. Continue to use caution, as there is considerable PI growing at the base and the north trunk of the tree. I will stop by soon to make this cache easier to place back in its hidey spot. ***
