Geocache Description:

This cache is named after Jewels, a calico kitten. She was very gentle and loving. There is a picture of her under the cache lid. The cache is hidden a couple feet from the trail. I really love this part of the park. The trails and the woods are great for mountain biking.

This cache is placed with permission in Orion Oaks County Park. The park covers over 927 acres including a 90 acre fishing lake. There are over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails including a 5 mile Achievement Trail. The dog park has 14 fenced areas including lake access, woods, and fields for the dogs to enjoy.

Park hours are 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset, unless otherwise posted at the entrance. A vehicle permit is required. Parking and park access is available from Baldwin Road, Clarkston Road, and two areas on Joslyn Road.

Bow Hunting allowed at Orion Oaks, so please be careful and wear brightly colored clothing during hunting season.
