T. R. Violin: I've always felt that the cache was still there but hidden by new growth. Even if gone, it was such a unique area that I still kept it posted. Time has finally come.

Cache is not at the posted coordnates, but will get you near the falls. No reception in this deep gorge. You will need to download spoiler pictures to locate cache.
The 3 Sisters Falls are one of San Diego County's true treasures. It is not an easy hike but the rewards are great. Cascades of water and deep pools to swim in. Best parking is along Boulder Creek Road at 32 59.074/116 40.627. Adventure Pass recommended. Head west around gate for .7 miles. Turn south and follow trail to the falls. Be warned, the last part of this trail is VERY STEEP!! The hike out is very strenuous and all uphill. It's best to stash fluids at different places on your way down so you won't have to carry them up. You will need lots!!! Plan on 3 hours or more to complete this 5 mile roundtrip.
