This cache is located in the Cane Creek Nature Preserve on Wheeler Mountain.
The cache is placed with the land owner's, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lacefield's permission. The cache is a small rubber maid container covered with brown duct tape. When placed it contained : Chimes, Clip w/light, Mini playing cards, Tempo's, Glow sticks, Key markers, Mini AM/FM Radio, Small picture frame and Log book with pen.
Turn left by the Colbert Farmer's CO-OP. You will trun left onto Frankfort Road. Stay on Frankfort Road for 7.7 miles. Turn right onto Loop Road. Take the gravel road to the left, there is a sign--Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve--Stay right when gravel road forks. Look for --Park Here-- signs. The Cache is located at the Point. The trails are labeled.
Attached is a map of Cane Creek Nature Preserve and a map of how to get there. The coordinates on the map are for parking.
Bring dog treats for neighborhood beagle dog that loves to hike along with you. Her name is Sissy.
This is a great place to hike with a beautiful view.
