Geocache Description:

Cache is within 2 miles of I70, but the route gains 1200' elevation.

Take Exit 203 off I70, park at trailhead west of the roundabout on the north side of I70. Cache is west of Meadow Creek. For the "road less traveled," take the very old abandoned road that leaves the trail to the left at about N39 35.706 W106 07.401 and parallels the creek, more or less.

The hike is about 1.9 miles each way, with 1200' vertical gain. Cache is near an old cabin site. It will be snow covered from late October to early May, give or take a few weeks. Check out the old baby buggy frame. Cache was moved a short distance north of the cabins and covered with some rocks and timber 9/26/04.
