Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at the site of my favorite Buffy and Family cache, Rails End, now sadly archived.

A train at the town of Franklin.

These tracks are the remnants of the Pacific Coast Railroad, originally formed as the Seattle and Walla Walla, which became the Columbia and Puget Sound, and finally the Pacific Coast Railroad.

The railroad served the industries, especially the coal mines, and towns of Renton, Newcastle, Maple Valley, Hobart, and the now ghost towns of Taylor, Franklin, and Kummer.

The cache is a disguised lock and lock. Thanks to my neighbor Wayne for the construction job on the cache!

Please make sure you can open the cache easily, as it is possible to put the lid on incorrectly. If the lid is on correctly, you can open it easily, if it does not open easily, then the lid is not on correctly. The edges of the lid should line up nicely.

Also, please beware of the small sinkhole at the north end of the tracks! (It is not a mine sinkhole)

(Please note that messages sent to me from Geocaching's message system while in the field, may not receive an immediate response.)
