A poker run, cornhole tournament and gourmet picnic all rolled in to one!
Please join us at the Rural Drive Shelter in the Chagrin River Park reservation of Lake Metroparks for a picnic, poker run and cornhole tournament. We're talking about great entertainment for the whole family.
Here's the particulars:
When: Saturday, July 12th from Noon til dark
Where: Rural Drive Shelter - Chagrin River Reservation
What we're going to provide:
Burgers, Hot dogs, buns, condiments, plates, utensils and bottled water
What you will bring: A dish to pass and any soda that you want to drink
What you won't bring: Alcoholic beverages, dogs, fireworks
What we need you to do: Post a note here with your team name and number of participants as soon as possible. We don't anticipate having to cut off registration to keep the crowd down, but we may have to depending on how many folks decide to join us.
Poker Run: 1:00PM - 3:30
We're to start off with a poker run with caches located outside of the park reservation. With escalating gas prices, we won't make you drive a zillion miles in order to build your card hand, so you won't have to pass the hat within your group to buy a tank of gas. One team per vehicle and one vehicle per team, mmmmkay? There's no prize for being the first team back and no penalty for being the last, so take your time.
There will be some cruddy prize for the team with the best standard 5 card poker hand and probably something for the team with the worst hand, too.
Cornhole tournament: 3:45 - 6:00
After the poker run, it's time for the cornhole tournament. We'll have one tournament for the kids and another for the adults. What's a kid and what's an adult? We'll figure that out when we get there, but don't worry, it will be fair. We'll have prizes for the winners here, too.

Ok lets talk about the crappy prizes...
The corn hole winners (adult) will take home the boards they played on ...what? ...no really ...you win you get one set and your partner gets the other set including bags ...hey i might even help you load them
oh one catch though you dont get to pick your partner its all a random draw
we hope to have great weather and a great turn out of chums
