Welcome to The Mermaid's Faerie Forest Treasure! This forest is one of our favorite places in the area. It also overlooks one of our favorite beaches. There are various ways to get to the main trail that leads to the forest both on the South side of the forest at the trailhead as well as the Marine Reserve on the North side. The South entrance is only a few minutes walk which takes you by the beach access as well.
Walk up the trail and you will find a spooky yet beautiful forest. We (the mysterious "Ninja Mermaids") call it the Faerie Forest but it is also part of a protected coastal area. The trail is an easy walk and isn't too long coming from either direction. Make sure you check out the ocean view from the forest, but don't get too close to the edge.
PLEASE WATCH FOR MUGGLES: This cache has been stolen twice so far. Look alive!
This is our first hide so we are excited to share this place with all who dare enter the Faerie Forest!
The cache is considered a micro cache. There is only a log so bring your own pen or pencil.
The Mermaid also left some special sea glass for the first two finds.
If you do leave something small in the cache, please try to keep it in the theme of the sea.
