This area may seem to be private property but we have permission
from the Morino Lodge owners. You do not have to stay at the lodge
to hunt the cache. Available all seasons. Terrain is 1.5 - winter
it is 2 as you may need to walk through snow for a short while!
Hakuba is one of Japan's largest and most respected resort. The
1998 Winter Olympic Games were held here and it has abundant
snowfalls.
The area is a world class ski destination with 10 ski resorts to
chose from.
Hakuba has a unique beautiful mountain valley which offers all
season recreation activities.
Ski and snowboard in the winter - the back country is
endless....and in the other seasons mountain bike, hike, water raft
and rock climb.
Morino Lodge is in the Wadano area close to the Happo One resort.
Morino means 'of the forest' and the cache is hidden in the
beautiful Wadano forest area - so bring your camera.
Dont be afraid to tell the owners of the lodge you are caching as
they are very helpful!

February 9 by toucan2 (80 found) Found cache after slog through snow with geowife goodlooker and geoson. Luckily the kind chaps at Morino lent me some snow boots. What a great place Happo is. The GPS co-ordinates look to be out. TFTC. Dropped in TB "Ron Burgandy" and "Say No to Crack" took SwedenHawk Coin.

December 10, 2009 by Damo. (249 found) Got to ground zero according to my gpsr and vaguely where the Google Map suggested it should be. Cryptic hints usually make sense to me when I get there but this one meant nothing. :(

October 25, 2009 by rcckq212 (23 found) We found it!!! TFTC!! This Cache is difficult to locate because there is private property in the area and we felt uncomfortable searching around buildings that we thought might belong to people that may not want us snooping around their property. So, we went to the Morino Lodge and spoke with the Owner. Fortunately, the area the cache is located does belong to the Morino Lodge and we were assured the "Hint" given in the cache discription was valid. Thank you!! We found the cache very quickly after we knew we would not be trespassing on private property. The cache is in very good shape! The forest area is very peaceful and a very nice place to visit. I have uploaded a couple of pictures for everyone. Hakuba is a beautiful area!! A great little ski village with many things to see and a great place for year-round recreational activities!! OUT: Nothing IN: TC "Snakes City Express" C&M [This entry was edited by rcckq212 on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 7:28:16 PM.]
