This is #1 of ten Howell Campground GeoCaching Primer (HCGCP) caches placed for Lake Red Rock's Big Geocaching Event, September 18, 2010.
The HCGCP series is an introduction to geocaching, with a variety of containers and hiding spots to help you with your future geocache hunting. You can do these caches in a 1+ mile hike around the campground, or if you drive you can get close to #1 and 10 on one side, and 3-7 on the other side. YOU'LL NEED TO BYOP (bring your own pencil/pen) for some of these. The series' hints should make the finds obvious, so be sure to read them if you're having trouble. For HCGCP #1, look for a plastic lock & lock food container.
