Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

This is a compilation challenge cache. To log the cache, you must first find and log at least one cache in each of the 21 New Jersey counties. The challenge starts August 26, 2006.

DISCLAIMER: The cache is not at the posted coordinates. That is the point where Mercer, Middlesex and Monmouth counties all come together which was a convenient mid-point for the state. However the cache is a 40 mm ammo can hidden somewhere within a 5 mile radius of the posted coordinates.

Just as the Tour de France takes its participants to all the regions of France so the Tour de Cache is intended to get you out and about to see the sights that New Jersey has to offer.  For the most densely populate state in the union, it contains an amazing diversity of natural and historic areas.  From the shore to the highlands, from the rush of the urban areas to the serenity of the wetlands, that's what this cache is all about.  Now for the details:

Replaced the cache and rehid it further back in the woods today after last Saturday's report the cache was shot clean through! The exit wound was impressive.

If anyone who has found this cache would like to revisit it for any reason, contact me as you will need the new coordinates. If anyone who has not found this cache would like to find it, contact me after you have found a cache in each of NJ's 21 counties and we can work it from there.

Found while out caching with philflyboy, levidan, luddy13 and ehhbyohn. We logged our finds for this trip as NJ2000 because levidan and philflyboy both hit 2000 while we were in NJ.

After 2 really long caching trips in NJ I'm happy to say that we finally completed this Challenge. The one-day 21 counties didn't work out so well for us as we managed to miss Bergen county by about 2 miles with the cache that we thought was there. Glad that we managed to finish things for real this time around. Thanks guys for such a fun time on these trips. Now on to the Delorme challenge?

Thanks for the great cache, we hid it better than when we found it (it was just sitting out in the open.) A hunter had put a bullet through it but other than the huge holes in the side (which levidan posted a picture of) it was in pretty good shape. Thanks again for the great challenge.

This is what we came for!!! Levidan, Luddy13, CozmicDK, philflyboy and I met at 5:00am to start our trek back to NJ to complete the NJ counties challenge and we DID IT! We had a blast the entire 400 miles we drove. We arrived back in Lancaster county, PA around 5:00pm.

This was our ninth cache of the day and Levidan's and philflyboy's 2000th! Congratulations and I'm glad we could be with you during this accomplishment.

We hid the can much better than we found it but we couldn't repair the bullet hole a hunter put through it. TFTC #449

(2000) WhooHoo !!!! This is my 2000th Geocache Find! Out for the day caching with Ehhbyohn, Luddy13, CozmicDK and Philflyboy. We came to NJ to do the All County Challenge Final for NJ were Philflyboy and I are logging our 2000th cache find. What a great cache to log our (philflyboy's and I) 2000th find. It was a very long trip to collect all the needed caches, not to mention all the driving miles. But I couldn't have done this without the team work of a great bunch of friends, it has been a Blast caching and joking with you guys. When we found the final to this challenge we found the container out in the open, it wasn't long before noticing that the cache had a bullet hole thru it. Other then the container there doesn't seam to be any damage to the contents. Thank you so much for placing this Challenge. TFTC

We replaced cache better then we found it...
