Geocache Description:

Enjoy a pleasant walk in Swan Lake park to get to this easy magnetic micro.

Swan Lake is like an oasis surrounded by suburbia.
It retains a wild beauty amidst the urban sprawl.

There is a trail leading to this location from two directions. The closest access is by turning onto Rainbow Road off of Mackenzie and parking in the lot for the Swan Lake nature house. I recommend parking behind the Saanich Municipal Hall near Ravine Way & enjoying a nice hike around the trails in the park. For most of the year this end of the lake is covered partially by pond algae, creating a funky floating green mat on the water.

When you zero out, sit down & have a rest, sign the log & enjoy the view of the lake. You may have to wait out muggles if you come at a busy time. Just be patient. Ducks & geese also like to hang out here alot. Please rehide the cache EXACTLY as found or it may be spotted by muggles as they pass by!

There is only a small GEO pencil and a folding log page in a zip baggie (try to remember how it folds back up correctly).

2D micro trades are fine but there isn't any extra room. The original log book & cache container were replaced March 15, 2006 and again on March 23rd, 2008. Visit the cache page gallery for OEM log book entries.
