Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a 9-cache series featuring birds of the Adirondacks.
Each cache is located along the Deer Leap trail off the northern entrance to the Tongue Mountain Range trails. The trailhead to Deer Leap is located just off Route 9N (about 10 miles north of Bolton and about 1 1/2 miles south of Sabbath Day Point on Lake George).

There is a parking pull-off area just across the road from the trailhead. The trail is easy to moderate over its course of about 1.6 miles (3.2 miles roundtrip).
The cache container is a match stick tube with no room for trade items and not winter friendly. Bring your own pen.
The Tongue Mountain Range is home to a large population of Timber Rattlesnakes, so be alert and use common sense when hiking or moving about rocky areas or enclosures.
