This is the first in a series of caches designed specifically for Travel Bugs. I hope that it will eventually lead to a Travel Bug Railroad system, in which people can pick up or leave travelers so that they can move further faster.
I've tried to keep this one close to LAX so that cachers who are traveling can stop by and pick up a Hitchhiker and take it with them to a far off location. This is also convenient for travelers coming in from another city, state, or country who would like to drop off a traveler from a far off location. I have made this a large cache to accomodate some of the Travel Bugs who need extra leg room.
It is my hope that this will become a popular and well-visited cache, bringing people back many times to check in and see if there are any new hitchhikers to pick up and take with them to wherever it is they may be heading. I know that some Bugs get stranded for a long time in one location, and I hope to solve that by making this an easily accessible cache that will be visited often.
Because of the different nature of Grand Central Station, I have stocked it only with two Travel Bugs, a logbook, and... whoops! Forgot the pens! Could the first visitor please bring a pen or two? Although you are encouraged to visit it as often as you'd like, be forewarned that this is a Travel Bug ONLY cache. Although the cache may not be full of booty, it will certainly soon be full of stories. Some of the Travelers I have seen have been all over the world, and have collected photos and stories from places I've only dreamed of going.
