Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

An old 1902 railroad bridge from days gone by crossing Piru Creek. Log only; bring your own writing utensil.
Please access from Warring Park on Orchard Street in Piru. Parking is free. The other end of the bridge is near private property and you would have to cross the bridge, which we do not recommend.

There is no need to go out on the bridge to reach the cache. There are steep drop-offs near the bridge, so keep a close eye on children and be extra careful if retrieving the cache at night.

Warring Park has picnic tables and restrooms. Nearby Piru creek had a good amount of water and ducks in it when we placed the cache. You can see the newer bridges of "We Love Old Bridges" (GCK339) from this site.

There is a benchmark near the corner of one of the park buildings.

We spent a few minutes chatting with the park ranger telling us about teens that use to jump off the railroad bridge into the water when it ran. Some kids even fell off and destroyed his shoulder. He also told us that they were going to be reusing this railroad bridge in the near future. SL TFTC

Find #2006. Found at 11:28 AM.

It wasn't in the first couple of places where I searched, but after I read the hint, I got it right off.

Thanks for the cache!

By the way, DON'T DROP THE CACHE! You'll regret it!
