These trees have been here for many, many years, some of the old original trees are starting to die off. There might have been a home or barn at this site. When the Highline Canal was operating back in the 1930's and 40's there were many farms on this side of West Mountain. If you look up on the side of the mountain as you drive you can see what is left of the canal in spots.

Since most of the ground around here is private this is a micro, since I could not get far off the road. This is a easy cache, its another drive by and grab.

Please replace cache in the same spot.

I agree with Plumnuts hard to get the container, but a great hide though

Easy cache? I think this deserves at least a 2.0 or more. Had a heck of a time getting the container into my hands.

Returned to this area for more cache finding with Wild George. Somewhat cooler than last time, but not enough to keep us from havin' the fun. We've never been in this area before, and really enjoyed the drive. TFTF

IronDampa and I found this cache while on our final all-day geocaching adventure of 2008. It was a fairly warm day but not as nice as the one a couple of weeks ago. But we had fun all the same.
