Geocache Description:

Park just before the ford leading to Garth Mill

Garth Mill, now a pub, was built in 1743. Driven by the water wheel, the mill once ground fodder to feed the pit ponies which worked underground at the Point of Ayr Colliery. Ffynnongroew is welsh for sparkling spring. Cross the water of the ford following the foot bridge. Walk past the pub and follow the footpath until you reach a wall at the end of another foot bridge, Opposite is a sycamore tree growing alongside a beech. Here is the home of the cache - a 100 ml camoflagued container.. If you want to explore further, a small waterfall is a few hundred yards along on the left. Carry on along tthe path until you reach Garth woods. Good luck ! PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU SIGN THE LOGBOOK WHEN YOU FIND THIS CACHE.
