I recycled this container, someone was going to throw it out. I saw
it and immediately thought, this has gotta' be a cache.
There used to be some railroad tracks here, but they've since
been removed. Apart from people driving where the tracks used to
be, this area doesn't seem to see a lot of traffic. I thought if
there was any spot to hide a container of this size, it had to be
here.
The trailhead waypoint marks an easy place to enter the
'forest'. From there, you may find a straight path isn't the
easiest, but we made it to GZ just fine. Minor bushwhacking toward
the end.
UPDATE 6/24/2010
Today I went out to dump some swag since I needed to clear out some
stuff I had laying around. Guess it was a good idea to dump some
swag in, it was nearly empty or only had small items.
Please be prepared to trade big when coming out to this cache. It's
bigger than a 5gal bucket, so it can take items you might not
normally be able to fit. I just put in some old stuff I didn't want
to go to waste, but otherwise found useless to me. As well as two
ready to go geocaches with logs and pens.
I also plan to bring out a separate containers for inside the
cache, to keep travel bugs and valuable swag clean and dry.
I also moved the cache, and hid it a lot better. When I approached
from certain directions, like three times, even I couldn't find my
own cache! I got confused in all the brush. So I'm raising the
difficulty rating from 1 to 2. I hope now that this cache is
obscured a lot better, it would be a safe heaven now for
trackables. Before you could see it from 50-75 feet away. Now you
have to be within 20 feet or less before you get a glimpse.
