Apollo 7 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

ePeterso2: Hmmm ... I tried to go replace this one again today, but the park was locked.

I've been thinking about a new idea for a cache that could use this location. I'll give you 11 guesses as to what type it's going to be.

Archiving this one to make room for better things to come.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in Donn F. Eisele Park in Wilton Manors. The property is a former nursery turned into a one-acre linear park with a shaded picnic area, butterfly garden, and kayak/canoe launch area. Unfortunately, the park gates are locked just after sunset ... no night-caching is possible here.

US Air Force Colonel Eisele was selected by NASA to become an astronaut in October 1963. On October 11, 1968, he occupied the command module pilot seat for the eleven-day flight of Apollo 7 — the first manned flight test of the Apollo/Saturn spacecraft. Eisele later served as a commissioner of the City of Wilton Manors, in which this park is located.

The container is nano-sized, the camo is good, the coordinates are accurate, and the hide is tough. There's only room for the log sheet ... bring only your pen and your geosense.
