Acherontas (Acheron) is a river of Epirus that is crossing
Thesprotia and Preveza about 50km and ends into the Ionian
Sea.
In mythology we find the Acheron Valley as the place where the dead
people was living. Acheron being the road where Charon was leading
the souls to the Acherousia More info about Acherontas River you
can find here: In Greek
http://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%91%CF%87%CE%AD%CF%81%CF%89%CE%BD
In English http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acheron In order to go to
the cache, you can park your car a bit earlier as the road gets
narrow and gravel. At the end of the road you can either follow the
path on the left or choose to walk through the tunel and then walk
on the path (be carefull as the path after the tunel has no safety
rails). The cache is a small plastic container, which has a
logbook, a pencil and a first to find pin in it (as a gift to the
first one to find the cache).
