CAR2006 - Going Quackers Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Scratch_: Given the original location of the cache, and the seasonal nature of the hide location, I will be archiving this cache. Hopefully by removing it - someone else will devise a "Weather / Water proof" cache for this park as it really deserves to be visited.

The cache container will be used to create another cache.

Geocache Description:

A camouflaged full-size coffee tin in a riparian area.

This cache has been placed as a play-piece in the Edmonton Geocachers " Cache and Release" Event by Shearzone.

Edmonton's very first Cache and Release (or CAR for short) event - this event involves hiding a cache during the time leading up to the CAR-event, finding CAR-caches over the designated 24 hour period and then meeting-up to swap CAR-stories. ** Please attempt to find this cache after 18:00, Friday, August 18 in accordance with the CAR2006 guidelines. **

The "Going Quackers" cache is in an incredible piece of habitat reconstruction on Edmontons south side. The area is a stormwater management facility, but also serves as prime wetland habitat for ducks, geese, herons, and all manner of waterfowl.

The cache should be easy to spot as it is not deeply hidden. After the CACHE and RELEASE event in August 2006 the cache should be tucked away (in the same location) into the overwintering bushes.

And yes - there is an FTF Price. It's shiny, and RED, and USB. Laptop owners will love it.
