Geocache Description:

This is a 30 cal. Ammo container hidden in an old cemetery. Parking coordinates are N 41 * 02.296 W 84 * 18.094. New coordinates are 41.02.084 084.17.982

We saw a sign while driving through Dupont recently on a geocaching adventure. It pointed to an old cemetery, but we couldn’t see any nearby. We did a little exploring and found a perfectly kept cemetery where most of the stones are so old they are unreadable. We looked at each other and said, let’s hide a cache here!! Most people don’t know a lot about Dupont. However, if you’ve been to any fairs or carnivals in NW OHIO, you have met its most famous residents. Dupont is the home of Durant Enterprises, with its Amusement Games and Carnival Rides. They make the circuit every summer providing fun and games for all the county fairs and village festivals in the area. Next time you try your luck with the ducks, or ride the Tilt-A-Whirl, think of Dupont! We left a little FTF prize for those who like to cache at night! The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by NWOGeo members to highlight cemeteries in the area.
