I found my 1000th cache on June 7, 2008. I
was determined that the milestone be a memorable cache, so I
selected
Nerodia Sipedon (GC1BVP0). I was not disappointed with the
hunt.
To commemorate my 1000th find, I went back out to the Ghost River
the very next weekend, with my tandem kayak 1K gift to myself and
hid a new cache near the entrance to the Ghost River section of the
Wolf.
This is the last place for at least a couple of hours where you may
be able to get out of your boat and stretch your legs. If the water
is up, you won't find dry land even here.
The cache container was given to me by my caching buddy, ProntoPup,
while on my 1K hunt. I have never seen a container even remotely
like it before. This thing is pink. It is not cammo'd at all. Not a
bit. Should be plenty easy to find, right? Well, get out there and
find it.

The cache container is now a Nalgene water bottle well camo'd. It
IS large enough to hold trade items or trackables.
