The Rubyless Regatta Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rubyzcrew: Took the kayak out today to check on this cache and to get in some practice for next week's "Bay To Bay" race. Sorry to say the cache is no longer. The trees are bare and so the cache must have been in plain sight and muggled. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted! We've decided not to replace it, so if anyone else would like to put a better cammo'd cache in the submerged forest, the area is open.
Thanks to everyone who made the effort to find this cache! Rubyzcrew

Geocache Description:

This cache is not on land. A boat of some kind is needed to access it. Sadly, dogs aren't allowed on this lake, so instead of Ruby's Regatta, it became The Rubyless Regatta. Lake Hodges is open for boating and fishing Wed., Sat., and Sun., sunrise to sunset. The concession rents rowboats and kayaks if you don’t have one available to you. There is a small launch fee if you use your own boat. See the web site for directions and details. www.sandiego.gov/water/recreation/hodges.shtml

When you locate the cache, simply detach it from the carabiner and take the cache into your boat to log and trade items. Be sure the top is folded down tight and that it isn’t floating free where muggles might easily spot it.
We’re sorry there’s a cost associated with doing this cache, but hopefully you’ll decided a fun day on the lake is worth it! Enjoy!!
