Geocache Description:

Libraries Rule! is a sign-only micro cache located inside the Pleasanton City Library.

Finding this micro-cache requires a little thought and a lot of stealth so I made it a “2”. Please be very careful in accessing and replacing the cache as there will probably be people around. Posing as a reader would be a good cover.

Plan your visit to the Pleasanton Library between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday the hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday the library is open between 1:00 and 5:00 PM.

The listed coordinates are for the library entryway. Once inside this spacious and friendly information center, you will need to find certain books to locate the micro-cache. Some of the books shelved within inches of the cache include:

After signing the log sheet and replacing the cache in the same place, take a look around the library. Browse the collection to find a new best-seller or an informational resource to answer the questions puzzling you while your kids enjoy the terrific children’s section. You won’t be alone - an average of 1,200 people visit the library each day and the monthly circulation just topped 75,000 checkouts. Last year patrons checked out more than 750,000 books.
