Located in a historic reserve (The Gerald Crapp Reserve) which contains a Maori Pa site. Easy walking along beach, track in reserve can be slippery if wet.
The reserve is named after the family who gifted the land to the people of NZ, and who's Father (Captain Crapp) First managed it.
Some of his family history appears on the sign at the start of the walk.
The small cache is in a small camo systema (modified) container with a geocache label. New pad and pencil and tradeables added.
Drive to first waypoint at S37,37.963 E176,03.153 Park.
Walk along the beach NW for 445 meters and climb steps to sign at S37,37.723 E176,03.143.

Follow track up into reserve towards the cache co-ordinates.
Please re-hide very well as this is a well used reserve by local children.
PLEASE NOTE. As many cachers have pointed out, this is NOT A MULTI, and never has been. At the time of placing "the rules" stated that it had to be a multi because the description contained other co-ords which helped to get to the cache.!! I have tried to get it changed but to no avail. Thank goodness they've sorted that one out. Wish I could sort this one out !
BEWARE >>> Reserve has steep sided banks, trenches and cliff edges that may be unstable or slippery especially after rain. Take care with children.
PLEASE replace well hidden. Locals know where it is and it's been muggled several times. Place deep inside. Thanks.
