What a Wind Up Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Interloper: The work on preparing the artificial pitch is still ongoing and looks like taking several months more to complete. Time to archive this cache, particularly as the wind generators have been removed and that was the point of having one here!

Geocache Description:

This is really an off-set cache rather than a multi cache. The final is only a hundred metres or so from the given coordinates.

At the given coordinates you should have a good view of Dunbar’s answer to global warming. You will also find a 12-digit number (preceded by the letters FAX).

Let this number be ABCDEFGHIJKL.

The cache can be found at N 55° 59.(A + E)(D + G)K; W 002° 31.BDF.

There is a Car Park adjacent to the Hallhill Playing Fields at N 55° 59.798; W 002° 31.330 (at the end of Kellie Road).

NOTE July 2013 The wind generators have all been decommisioned and removed but you can still see the concrete bases (I doubt if these will ever be removed!) Not a great advertisement for wind generation as an answer to our electricity needs. One of these lasted six years and the others a lot less than that.
